These Terms & Conditions cover the Rise website and related services provided by Danny Ruchtie. They also explain product-specific conditions for Rise, a personal EPUB and PDF reading app for iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Your App Store app license is governed by the applicable App Store license agreement, including Apple’s Standard EULA where no custom EULA is supplied. These terms do not replace that agreement or limit mandatory consumer rights.

• Apple’s Standard EULA

Use Rise on devices and accounts you are authorized to use and in accordance with applicable law and Apple’s platform rules. Rights in the app, website, branding, and original product materials remain with their respective owners.

Do not interfere with the website, introduce malicious files, bypass purchase controls, or copy or redistribute the app without permission. Restrictions do not apply where applicable law or an included open-source license permits the activity.

You retain your rights in the books, manuscripts, PDFs, and other materials you import. Importing a file into Rise does not transfer ownership to us.

You are responsible for having the rights to read, copy, sync, and generate narration from your materials. Rise supports DRM-free EPUBs and PDFs and does not grant rights to bypass digital rights management or redistribute copyrighted books or audio.

Included books may be public domain in some countries and protected in others. Check the copyright status and any supplied notices before reusing or distributing them.

You can read the included book and make one free personal import. That allowance is used once; deleting the imported book does not create another free import. Included bundled content remains free.

Full Library is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks additional personal imports on supported iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices using the same Apple Account. It is not a recurring subscription. The website’s €9.99 price is a reference price; Apple displays your regional price and applicable taxes before purchase.

Apple handles billing, transaction records, and refund requests under its policies and applicable law. You can restore eligible purchases through Rise. A refunded or revoked transaction may no longer provide the paid entitlement.

• Apple Media Services terms

Narration requires a compatible installed voice pack. Voice downloads require an internet connection, storage, and a supported device. Available languages and features depend on the version and device you use.

Questions about books require supported Apple Intelligence hardware and software. Generated answers may be incomplete or incorrect, and narration may mispronounce or omit text. Check the original passage when accuracy matters. These features are reading aids and should not be relied on as professional advice.

Sync depends on your Apple Account, available iCloud storage, connectivity, and Apple’s services. Changes may take time to reach other devices. Keep independent copies of important original files; syncing is not a substitute for a backup.

Apple and other external services operate under their own terms. We cannot guarantee their continuous availability, or compatibility with every document, operating-system version, or device.

We may update Rise and this website to fix issues, improve features, or respond to platform changes. Features may have different requirements over time. A one-time unlock does not promise perpetual support for every future device or operating-system version.

Any changes to paid features remain subject to the purchase terms and applicable consumer law. We will publish changes to these terms here with an updated date and provide notice where legally required.

We aim to provide a reliable reading experience, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or compatibility with every file. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the website or services.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or limits your mandatory rights concerning digital products, remedies, refunds, or access to competent courts. The applicable app license governs app warranties and liability.
